I am Dr. Ime Ekong, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with 13 years of therapy experience. I am a Clinical Psychology graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Psychology. Though I initially trained as a psychology generalist, I have worked with a wide array of clients/patients. As a practicum student, I worked in an outpatient psychological assessment center, an inpatient psychiatric unit, and an outpatient behavioral health center. As an intern, I provided psychotherapy in home, school, and office settings. I also conducted comprehensive psychological and psychosexual evaluations. My post-graduate training took place in the Neuropsychology Department of a hospital which allowed me to receive hands-on training in health psychology. I continue to work with an interdisciplinary team treating patients with a broad spectrum of mental and physical health concerns. My clinical experience includes assisting individuals with chronic medical conditions, pain, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and substance abuse.

I believe in the importance of individualized and holistic care. I respect the unique aspects of every person I treat and recognize that no one treatment will work for every person. As such, my therapeutic approach includes collaborating with my clients to establish a plan of care best suited for their needs.
