Hello! Here is where I'm supposed to introduce myself to you and why you should consider me as your potential counselor. So I am Dr. Ife Landsmark, a licensed clinical psychologist and practitioner for more than 43 years. I was born in Harlem NY and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn by a single mom of four children on welfare. My undergraduate BS degree in psychology was earned from Dartmouth College in 1975 where I graduated Magma Cum Laude. Several graduate degrees, culminating in a Ph.D. were earned from Columbia University Teachers College. I've profited from a wide and eclectic educational training experience. My orientation spans Insight Oriented psychotherapy, Cognitive Therapy orientations, and statistical analysis of psychometric assessments. After formal training my full-time service was served in such clinical settings as: inpatient psychiatric hospitals, nursing homes, community clinics with populations of substance abusers, foster care, residential placement facilities for adolescents and group home residents. By 1998 I was designated as a Diplomate of the Board of Forensic Examiners and have since served as an expert witness in most criminal and family courts.
