About

Hello and Welcome! I am Hosi Rosta and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been doing therapy for about 7 years and have had a variety of different experiences. Here' is a little about me to guide you in finding what you are looking for. I started my experience working in a rehab center with all men where I learned and provided support to the clients who struggled with addictions, life stage changes, and family dynamics. I then went on to work with adolescents and their parents that were in the age range of 4-25 YO for about 5 years. There I worked with the children as my clients but incorporated the families for individual and family therapy to provide support for areas such as depression and anxiety, divorce, substance use, self-esteem struggles, grief and loss, trauma, and acceptance of life changes. As well as working with the parents(who are not always the traditional “mom and dad”) to provide support to them within their own couple dynamic. Then to further my knowledge base, I then went to work within a corrections setting and worked with male and female inmates. Which included many of the above areas as well as severe trauma, gang-related issues, legal struggles, coping skills, and managing overall mental health while being incarcerated. My approach is fluid and I like to meet the client where they are. I truly enjoy building a relationship with my client to be able to provide the support to as they may need. I’m also aware of being culturally competent & aware. The client is in charge, I am merely the flashlight that shines the light in areas that may need some work. I like to combine different theories and models to be able to customize my therapy to what the client needs. Such as using CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), MI (Motivational Interviewing), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused CBT), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).
