What should clients know about you? I graduated from Adelphi University in 2014. Since that time, I have gained clinical experience in hospitals, DBT program settings, and private therapy settings in addition to offering supervised visitation and worked closely with the family court system on reunification for families. For the last several years I have opened my own private practice which helps me work more closely with adolescents and adults who want to focus on anxiety, depression, school refusal, self-esteem, and self-harm. What's your approach to therapy? My approach to therapy includes practicing mindfulness techniques as I believe that mindfulness lays the groundwork for future skill set building. I work with clients using cognitive behavioral techniques and incorporate some dialectical behavioral skills as well. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? Clients can expect to take away a set of skills that they can access and utilize for the rest of their lives. I often ask clients to practice a particular skill at the end of each session so we can discuss its effectiveness at our future sessions.
