About
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington. I am a wife, mother and Air Force Veteran with a passion for working with trauma survivors. I served in the Air Force for 11 years and endured multiple deployments to various locations. As a Veteran, I understand the struggle of coming home from deployment and readjusting to "normal" life despite the experiences in a deployed location. It can be hard to find someone who understands the unique culture of the military life. After my separation in 2011, I experienced the other side as a military spouse and found a true passion in helping my fellow veterans and their families navigate their journey through life.
As someone who understands the struggles of dealing with anxiety and trauma experiences, I work hard for my clients to help them find peace and contentment in their life and future. I provide a safe, empathic, and understanding environment where we can explore your world, your struggles and how to bring the darkness into light. I work with clients struggling with a range of concerns such as anxiety, trauma, PTSD, abuse, military/veteran and first responders and grief/loss. My approach to working with couples begins with Gottman's Sound Relationship House and includes the incorporation of attachment-focused techniques to provide a balance of therapy structure and emotional depth. Relationship concern issues that could be addressed include: communication problems, intimacy concerns, emotional detachment, attachment struggles, and even co-parenting skills.
Shadowed Minds are those clouded by past experiences, traumas, anxieties, and emotional detachment. It is only by acknowledging the darkness that we can walk through the trenches and find the light to brighten our minds and souls. Sometimes the burden can seem too heavy to carry alone, let me help carry the weight with you along your journey of discovering your authentic self beyond the darkness.
