Hello, my name is Helen Britton.
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist for 29 years and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington. I have ten years of research in trauma and abuse, whether it be sexual, physical, mental or spiritual abuse.
I received my Bachelor of Science (Psychology) in 1990 and Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1993 at Abilene Christian University, in Texas. I have been employed as a Life Coach and an Employment Specialist for many years. I was a Professor of Psychology at Batesland College.
I am a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist, and the American Association of Christian Counselors.

My therapy approach is respectful, warm, sensitive, compassionate, and empathetic. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, System Theory, Brief therapy, and Solution Focused treatment theories. I love to motivate people to be their best self and improve their ability to interact with others and society in general. I will tailor our communication and treatment plan to meet your specific and unique needs. I applaud anyone who finds the courage to reach out for help. I have specialized in helping survivors of Narcissism and Survivors of Incest and sexual assault/abuse to become thrivers. I am a known expert in Bi-Polar Disorder and am an advocate for mental illness and speak and teach on these topics regularly.
