About
Hello!
My name is Heidi Shock and I am a mental health and substance abuse therapist with over fourteen years experience with high-risk clients primarily in the criminal justice system. I have a undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master's degree in Social Work from Michigan State University. I provide a laid-back, non-judgmental and safe space that helps individuals open up about issues creating barriers in their lives. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, abuse, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance abuse, ADHD, grief/loss, etc. I have worked with individuals of all demographics, age ranges from teens-older adults. My therapeutic approach combines Client-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative and Rational-Emotive Therapy. It takes courage to take those first steps toward the changes you want to see happen in your life. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!
