Hello. My name is Heidi, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State and National Certified Counselor (NCC); I am also licensed to practice in the State of Idaho. I have Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health counselor. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, and intellectual challenges, among others. I enjoy working with clients from many different cultural and religious backgrounds. However, as a Christian myself, I specialize in counseling from a Biblical perspective. I accept, encourage, and welcome the exploration of all spiritual beliefs.

How we think determines what we believe and what we believe determines our behavior. We will explore negative thoughts that are leading to unhealthy behaviors. As thinking changes, long-lasting behavioral change is possible. My counseling style would be considered eclectic as I use concepts from a variety of theories. Every individual is unique; thus, I do not believe in ‘one size fits all’ assembly-line counseling. Rather each individual is unique and requires an individualized cooperative therapy plan.
