I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Alcohol Substance Abuse Counselor. My areas of specialty are substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and behavioral issues. I am also EMDR trained. In addition to owning my own private practice, I work as a program manager in an outpatient clinic for substance use. Other experience includes school counseling, outpatient mental health, and inpatient chemical dependency. What is your approach to therapy? I use a person-centered approach when meeting with clients. My areas of specialty are substance use, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and behavioral issues. I use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness and relaxation exercises to promote emotional regulation and build resilience. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? I provide an empathetic, warm, creative, and non-judgmental approach to therapy. I am committed to helping clients heal and regain a sense of control and well-being in their lives. I offer skills to change thoughts/behaviors that aren't aiding in your progress within your healing journey.
