Hi! I'm Heather and I am a licensed professional counselor in Arkansas with 10 years of professional work experience working with children, teens and adults in a variety of settings . I have experience helping with stress and anxiety, motivation, self esteem, personality disorders, trauma, and depression. I really enjoy doing trauma work related to recovery from narcissistic abuse, domestic violence and religious trauma. I can also help you learn ways to cope with life changes such as adjusting to adulthood, starting college or the workforce, marriage, divorce, becoming a parent, retirement and loss of a loved one. I am trained in TF-CBT and sand tray therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR). I believe in the importance of a holistic approach to wellness and I like to incorporate mindfulness activities in my practice. I value the therapeutic relationship and believe in the person centered approach of tailoring to your individual needs to promote life change. With these approaches, I will help you reclaim your life from trauma, interpersonal issues, mood disorders, and change behavioral patterns in your life. Beginning therapy can be scary, but I value the courage it takes for you to work towards personal goals to bring joy and balance back into your life.
