Hello and greetings to you. My name is Heather Cerridwen. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan as well as a National Certified Counselor. I graduated in 2005 with a Master's degree in Counselor Education & Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University with a Master's specialty certificate in Holistic Health. I have worked extensively with adults, families, couples, adolescents, and children specializing in mental health and substance abuse issues. I use a collaborative approach to therapy to create a safe space to explore healing from trauma, depression, anxiety and assist clients in building healthy coping skills to assist in stress management, relapse prevention, and self-care. My core modalities and interventions include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, Internal family systems therapy, art therapies, and mindfulness. I wholeheartedly believe in the transformative power of compassion and empathy. I very much enjoy teaching others how to develop these skills for themselves and for others.
