I was not one to follow any traditional path to anything- much less to counseling. I grew up in rebellious times and quickly decided I was a non-conformist. But what exactly did that mean-in theory or practice? It's taken me a lifetime to find out with lots of detours along the way. This is now known mostly as 'lived experience'. Something each of us have, but sometimes do not highly value.

What I can definitely tell you is that my practice is rooted in empathy and social justice. Much of my work (but not all) assists men who are seeking to improve and better manage their relationships as they maneuver through a terrain of role confusion , and rapidly changing gender expectations.

More often than not my clients find they can be themselves (vulnerability and all ) as we collaboratively explore a terrain containing multitude shades of internalized and rehearsed role behaviors and expectations.
