Life is filled with many twist, turns and transitions! Sometimes it can hit us all at one time and be difficult to manage and in the midst of it we forget that we matter. I am here to let you know that YOU matter as an individual, in your relationships and different spaces in your life! A better you enables your ability to show up renewed and be present in every area of your life and with the ability to face life confidently, healthy and whole!

I am excited to become your supporting partner on this new counseling journey! As your partner I will navigate with you on an road filled with empathy, advocacy, reflection, healing and growth. I believe the client-therapist relationship is a journey because we will travel together to meet your goals or counseling-related tasks through collaboration and consensus. I desire to provide a safe and comfortable space for you to be authentic with your emotions and thoughts, whether you need to cry, laugh or yell--it will all be welcomed!

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Masters of Education in Counselor Education from North Carolina State University. I later received additional coursework in the area of school counseling from North Carolina State University. I am currently pursuing a doctorate of education at Gardner-Webb University in Organizational Leadership.

I have over fifteen years of of experience working adolescents, teenagers, adults (young and middle-aged) and families in school, college and faith- based settings. I offer counseling services in the areas of marriage/couples/relationships, premarital counseling, self-esteem building, depression, stress and anxiety management, women’s issues, life and career transitions and resilience. I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling theoretical orientation grounded through use of the cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered techniques, solution-focused brief therapy, reality therapy and rational emotive therapy.
