I am Dr. Harriet Bernola, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 10 years of experience providing psychotherapy to adults, youth, families, and couples. Particular areas of interest include depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, attachment disorder, mood disorders, parenting, and severe mental illnesses. I have worked successfully with clients from youth to adulthood with mental health issues spanning from anxiety and depression to schizophrenia and personality disorders.
My approach to therapy is eclectic and person-centered. To meet the needs of the individual/family, I combine existential therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness, attachment-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, and positive psychology. I am authentic multicultural competent and work collaboratively to develop a unique plan that meets your needs.
