Hello! Congratulations on take this step and coming to Find A Therapist. I know it can be hard to open up regarding your personal struggles and to trust the person you have chosen to open up with so let me tell you a little bit about myself and my role in the therapeutic process. My name is Harly Gruenbaum, I have been a licensed clinical social worker and certified case manager practicing in New York for more than 12 years in the field of mental health, health care, and early intervention working with both individuals and their families. I have specialized with chronic illnesses, adjustment, depression/anxiety and stress, addictions of all kinds, trauma/abuse, relationship concerns, family problems, and self-esteem.

Life struggles can be overwhelming and challenging. I believe in person-centered therapy, solution based therapy, and motivational interviewing with the goal for you to find the internal motivation to empower you to move through a difficult situation. The goal of my practice is to provide emotional support and guidance for you to develop strategies/therapies to improve your overall quality of life. By working together, we will help to overcome some of your emotional barriers that are affecting your overall quality of life and we will work to achieve goals you have set for yourself. During our sessions, we will use multiple strategies and techniques that are specifically tailored to your needs to help achieve your short term and long term goals. We will also work on how you can take these new strategies and skills with you to use in the future when obstacles present in your life.
