Welcome! My name is Nina and I am a licensed professional counselor in the states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Arizona. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University and Masters of Art in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling. In my free time, I love spending time with my fur babies, family, and friends, as well as traveling the world and giving back to my communities.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of providing home based and outpatient therapy services, creating therapy programs in rural based communities, as well developing programs in residential and substance abuse treatment facilities. I have over 10 years of strong multifaceted clinical experience within the mental health, substance abuse, juvenile justice, and clinical research fields. In other words, I have strong experience in working with at risk and various population within several settings including school, court, medical, and behavioral health systems.

As a trained Marriage, Couple, and Family counselor, I enjoy working with family and relationship dynamics, life transitions, parenting skills, teenagers, complex traumas/abuse, and addiction. I am proficient in conducting psychotherapy with diverse individuals, couples, families, and groups using numerous treatment modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, behavior modification, and family system theory frameworks.

If my family and friends could describe me, they would share my style as being warm, supportive, attentive, goal oriented, and comical. I understand of importance of identifying our strengths to help identify and address our struggles. Collaboration is key in therapy because you are the expert of your life and I am here with a set of skills to help you find the tools you are looking for to build and grow yourself. I ask that you give me ten percent of your trust and let me earn the other ninety. At times I may challenge you, but please know I am here to help you in your growth journey and on the other side of fear is everything you hopefully dream of.
