Are you feeling completely overwhelmed by life or by what you're hearing on the new? When anxiety hits does it feel like you can't think of anything but the tightness in your chest or the sound of your heart beating in your ears? Or, do you find yourself feeling blah, sad, or hard to motivate yourself to do things that you used to like doing? If so, it doesn't have to be like this forever! I believe that the body and mind are inter-connected and in order to make a change in one you have to involve the other. I believe in finding alternative, holistic ways of attending to the "symptoms" we are feeling. Instead of running away from uncomfortable or painful feelings, we will work slowly towards acceptance, change, and gratitude.

My background ranges from inpatient psychiatric hospitals to legal aid to individual psychotherapy. I believe in alternative treatment methods, like mindfulness, yoga, and animal-assisted therapy to name a few, to deepen the therapeutic experience. I utilize these and other Evidenced-Based Practices in session, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy, to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
