About

Hello, my name is Hanh Perez. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is committed to creating a strong therapeutic alliance with all my clients to supporting them in their journey towards self-discovery, healing, and growth. My approach to therapy is to always stay curious with an open mind and an empathetic heart to connect and relate to your experience. My approach My approach to providing therapy is person-centered that focuses on relationships, promoting self-awareness, and self-acceptance. I believe clients possess enormous potential and ability to attain emotional wellbeing through a supportive therapeutic alliance. The most common theoretical approach used in my work is psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive behavioral. My focus The client I typically work with are adults. I have experience in the realms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, intimate partner violence, and the search for meaning in life. I also have experience working with cultural identity issues within the family and relationship. In addition, I have worked with clients of various backgrounds, experiences, and ethnicities. My communication style My communication style is calm and inviting. I listen to what is said along with inquiring about the meaning on an emotional level. The appreciative inquiry opens up deeper and broader conversations that allows clients to have direct access to their subconscious for self discovery, healing, and self-acceptance. My journey to therapy The thing that attracted me to a career as a therapist is the opportunity to create therapeutic alliance and relationships with clients. As a therapist the reward is that I get to support clients on their therapeutic journey, witness their growth, and celebrate their success. This is something that once experienced will forever drive anyone to do this work. This is my reason for choosing to be a therapist.
