Hi! My name is Haley. I have been a therapist/counselor for 5 years, and I have been working in the mental health field for 9 years.

I decided to start a career in mental health because a therapist saved my life when I was a teenager. I have dedicated my life to helping others in the same way, and I truly believe it is my calling. I will do everything within my ability to help improve your overall mood and quality of life in general.

I am now an EMDR-trained clinician. EMDR can be used to treat a variety of mental health concerns. I also offer traditional talk therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing.

I have experience in working with adults of all ages and children ages 3 and up. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of presenting problems, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, substance abuse issues, issues related to attachment, low self-esteem, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, ADHD, OCD, codependency, and gender dysphoria.

Most recently, I was working as an Adult Outpatient Therapist at the community mental health center. I conducted sessions with individuals with a variety of mental health issues and varying levels of severity. I also have experience as a Substance Abuse Counselor focusing on recovery from opiate dependency. My initial position as a therapist was in community mental health conducting individual and family sessions for children ages 3 and up, teenagers, and adults of all ages. I have had a wide variety of experiences previous to this at a hospice, an inpatient behavioral health hospital, group home for adults with mental illnesses, a residential facility for boys with behavioral issues, and juvenile probation.

I earned my LICSW in May of 2021. I graduated with a Master of Social Work in 2018 at Alabama A&M University. I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work in 2015 at University of North Alabama.
