I am a seasoned counselor licensed in Texas with over 20 years of experience working as a cognitive-behavioral counselor, executive and life coach. I was a pastor for 15 years (Youth, Associate, Senior), am an Instructor for Regent University (School of Psychology & Counseling), an Adjunct Professor for Cornerstone University (Undergrad/Graduate), am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy-Weekend 1), and will be certified in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (September)).

I have a Bachelors in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Divinity, a Master of Arts in Counseling (all from Cornerstone University), and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (Regent University). My dissertation was The Relationship of Emotional Intelligence with Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment.

I have worked with hundreds of couples and families, and am currently serving as the Director of Clinical Services at Cedar Crest Hospital in Belton, TX for our 90-bed Residential Treatment Center. Our entire goal is to help heal the hearts of teenagers who have experienced severe trauma and or a loss of relationship with their bio-mom or bio-dad.

My wife is perfect and we have 7 children between the two of us. I have a very practical, logical, humorous, and complex-thinking approach to counseling. I will stretch your mind and your heart to grow more than you ever thought possible. I view counseling as an opportunity to equip you to not only heal, but to become stronger than you ever have been. I believe, however, that you control the gateway to your growth. Successful counseling begins and ends with the client. I do not have the power to change anyone.
