About
"Psychology should be just as concerned with building strength as with repairing damage"
Martin Seligman
I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2014. Working with children, families, and adults with all kinds of challenges ranging from depression and anxiety to relationship and parenting struggles as well as life and career counseling. I currently work as an outpatient co-occuring psychotherapist, working with clients struggling with substance use in combination with other mental health issues. I am creative and flexible, able to find multiple ways of working with clients in ways that they are most comfortable with. I'm hopeful for all of my clients and their ability flourish and become the best versions of themselves.
My counseling style is eclectic, primarily focusing using on Positive Psychology and Trauma Informed lens; utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), sensori-motor psychotherapy, and Eco Therapy interventions. I am also certified in the Neuroequential Model of Therapeutics through Dr. Bruce Perry's Child Trauma Academy and level one trained in Gottman Model Couples Counseling.
I try to read and answer messages sent to me at least once a day. There may be exceptions when I have more time I may respond more frequently and there may be occasions for me to miss a day. I also try to be more responsive and accommodate my client's who may be struggling more than usual. If I go out of town for an extended period of time I will notify all of my clients and do my best to touch base as frequently as possible depending on the internet situation.
I no longer offer live video or phone chat through Find A Therapist.
