About
My name is Grant Prenzler, I have my MA in Clinical Counseling with a specialty in Art Therapy. I'm licensed in the state of Michigan with my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). I'm also an ATR (Art Therapist Registered) through the Art Therapy Credentials Board. I'm very passionate about counseling and art therapy, I view it as a privilege to be a part of a client's journey towards personal growth and healing. My primary areas of focus are anxiety and depression, but I have experience in many other areas. My approach The counseling process is aimed to empower you and promote your own wellness. We will confront any concerns you may have and promote any desired positive behavioral changes that best benefit you. The counseling process aims to help you make realistic choices and resolve problems in an individualized creative manner. I view the counseling relationship as a collaborative effort, between counselor and client. I use an integrative approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Existential, Humanistic, and Holistic Therapy, to help you achieve any goals you may have in counseling. I am also trained as an Art Therapist if you feel you will benefit from this. I strive to help you make your own decisions and to support you during your endeavors to achieve your interpersonal goals through a collaborative effort. I don't believe I am the expert on anyone's life, for I am not you. I view this as a partnership between you and me, where I help you find your own path to positive change. My focus My primary focus is on issues pertaining to anxiety, and depression. I do have experience with grief & loss, adjustment disorders, life transitions, adjustment disorders, trauma, bipolar disorders, non-religious spiritual work, chronic pain, Oncology counseling & LGBTQ+ issues. My communication style I cannot generalize how everyone will feel working with me.
