About

I have been practicing as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, first in Wisconsin and now in Virginia for over 20 years, seeing clients with a variety of diagnoses. My areas of expertise include working with clients with a variety of diagnoses, including depression, anxiety, infertility, adoption, life changes and transitions, grief and loss. I have worked in hospice care, meeting the needs of client's and their families, providing guidance, resources and emotional support along their journey.  Empathy, respect and compassion are all at the forefront of my work with client's, with an emphasis on client's strengths and goals.
Therapeutic modalities utilized include; solution focused, cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, strengths based and acceptance and commitment therapy. I believe in meeting the client where they are at and tailoring individualized plans of care, to meet each client's goals.
In my time as a counselor, I have learned that life experiences are different for everyone and that people cope in different ways during stressful times.  My approach to all therapy is to walk beside you, provide active listening, emotional support, and to work with you to achieve your hopes and dreams of becoming the best you.
