Georena Dearborne-Bynog is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a strong desire to be a support to those that need it. Georena has over 13 years of experience working with children, families, young, and older adults. My approach Georena utilizes motivational interviewing, cognitive and rational behavioral, and solution-focused approaches in therapy. While knowing that there is not a one size fits all approach in counseling, Georena has the ability to incorporate creativity and awareness necessary to best meet your needs. My focus Georena typically works best with those battling issues with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and grief. My communication style I try to have a very relaxing environment for clients to feel comfortable expressing their most vulnerable experiences. My journey to therapy I became attracted to therapy when I realized that I had a true desire to help others. I was always the person that others, some I didn’t really know, would tell me their problems and issues and I would always want to be a support and listen. My goals for you Goal setting is always a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist. My first session with you Clients should expect a discussion of confidentiality and how therapy can take time. I would also complete an assessment to obtain important information along with the reason that therapy is being pursued.
