Anjali earned her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University (NYU) and has 3 years of counseling experience along with 2 year of working in a private practice setting. Anjali has worked with various populations of clients with ages ranging from 6 to 65 years old. Anjali utilizes an integrative approach to accommodate clients based on their needs. She applies strength-based approach and CBT based therapy in order to help clients to decrease maladaptive behaviors. Anjali works with various mental health clientele diagnosed with cognitive, behavioral, social, and developmental disorders. Her training in psychopathology included group and individual counseling with children and adolescents, providing personalized treatment plans to improve self-esteem, reframing negative self-talk, fostering resiliency, and emotional recognition and regulation. Anjali strongly emphasizes meeting clients where they are and catering to the client's subjectivity to create measurable and attainable goals in therapy. She believes that it is important to also take psychosocial and cultural influences into account. She also places a strong emphasis on psychoeducation for clients while also educating herself when necessary, such as being culturally competent. Anjali believes that all clients are capable of change, and she is here to support you through that change or life phase difficulties. Anjali believes in working through the discomfort, and respecting clients’ needs and truth.
