I am an LCSW and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner. I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, addiction, attachment/relational problems, chronic pain, and mood management. You may be interested in decreasing stress and increasing more embodiment. By getting more in touch with your sensations, emotions and thoughts you will not only increase body awareness, but will decrease the physical tension that results from trauma. Whether you are struggling from stress, unhelpful behaviors, or difficulty managing your mood, together we can work to increase your resiliency, self-regulation skills, and capacity to connect more easily with yourself and others. Focusing on the mind-body connection, I often incorporate art and movement in the healing process. Core themes that may emerge as a result of therapy with me include increased resiliency, curiosity, embodied self-awareness, and connection. Through our work together we may utilize a variety of approaches ranging from Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness, as well as more traditional methods of psychotherapy to help you reach your goals.
