Hello! My name is Gay Lee Schumann! I am a Licensed Professional Counseling-Associate with approx. one year of experience with counseling specifically. In addition to this, I also provided coaching to employees for over six years cumulatively while working in public education as an administrator. I hold two Masters: one in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, TX and the other in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. I thoroughly enjoy working with clients who are interested in working on issues such as anxiety, trauma/PTSD, weight loss, work-related issues, and burnout. I provide empathy, support, validation, a safe space, and encouragement while providing concrete suggestions, tips, tools, and strategies to address the issues that challenge you. I utilize rational emotive behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, as well as an integrative approach depending upon the issues that need to be addressed and the needs of the client. Therapy is about client goals. Although I can provide a few directions, you navigate the car of your life. My job is to help you move back into the drivers' seat of your life!
