Hi, my name is Gauri Sanchez and I'm a License Marriage and Family Therapist. I'm passionate about supporting my clients through the journey of life, healing and transformation. I believe in collaboratively working with clients to enhance their self understanding, self love and self-empowerment. My approach My approach is client centered- providing support, empathy and unconditional positive regard along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Grief Counseling. My focus I am experienced with working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, life challenges/transitions, relationship problems, victims of crimes and grief. My communication style I'm passionate in creating a comfortable therapeutic partnership and providing a safe and nonjudgemental space where clients can feel open and welcome to share their unique life stories. My journey to mental healthcare As a first generation Latina mental health therapist I'm passionate in reducing the stigma of mental health and I have a great understanding of the importance of positive support, guidance and self love that each individual needs to thrive and evolve in the journey of life. My goals for you I believe in working collaboratively with my clients to identify treatment priorities/goals. My first session with you Our first session will focus on building rapport- getting to know each other, understanding what helps each client feel welcome and comfortable, gaining understanding on what is working and areas that need strengthening in each client's life and setting the goals for treatment.
