Hello! My name is Gabriela and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of North Carolina with 11 years of experience working as a therapist in a wide variety of settings. I have experience with treating adults, adolescents and children in individual and family counseling with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, anger management, parenting, career challenges, grief, OCD, ADHD, behavioral issues, trauma and abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. It is important for me to form a trusting therapeutic relationship with my clients for the most beneficial outcomes. I also believe that it is important for the therapist to be personable and relatable! I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, talk therapy and goal setting. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Our sessions will remain confidential but there are times as a therapist that I will have to break the confidentiality rule. These situations include: If I suspect abuse or neglect, if I believe you are in danger of harming yourself or someone else or if you sign a release of information form.
