Hi there, I'm Gabriel! HI, my name is Gabriel "Gabe" Labat and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. My primary focus of practice is Anxiety, ADHD, and Attachment Anxiety. My approach The most common theoretical approaches that I use for therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychoanalytic, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My focus I spend a majority of my time with working professionals. Usually Doctors, Attorneys, Healthcare workers and those in education. My communication style I like to create an empathetic environment where I listen to my clients needs and together we formulate goals for them to move forward. My journey to therapy Like many of us, I had some of my own struggles with anxiety and ADHD. Through seeing a therapist I was able to work through my issues to reduce my anxiety and become more effective in the workplace. I enjoy doing the same for my clients. My goals for you I find goal setting to be a collaborative approach, I never ask my clients to do anything that they would feel uncomfortable. Being able to make change has to be done in a persons own timing. My first session with you Usually the first session we discuss what brought you to therapy, what is challenging to you/greatest area of pain or frustration and what you would like to see change. We usually start by setting small goals.
