About

ABOUT ME
My name is Frank Rattray. I am retired Army. I received two Master's Degrees in Clinical Counseling and Clinical Psychology while working alongside my wife (who is a psychiatric registered nurse) to raise my three step-children, two of which currently serve in the active military. I have worked for over twenty years in the mental health field, starting with my time in the military. I have experience working with individuals suffering Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Depression, Anxiety, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism, and Learning Disorders, just to name a few. I specialize in the areas of addiction, sexual/physical/emotional trauma, LGBTQ issues. I also experience consulting for and testifying in legal matters. I have experience working with a wide array of clients from different cultural backgrounds and ages.

My style of therapy is client focus and personal. I work by building a relationship with the clients as a person since you are the expert on your own life. Together, we can jointly come up with goals and solutions that are going to work for you. I will treat you with sensitivity, respect, by getting to know you as a unique individual. I like to use solution-focused therapy, family systems theory, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy. By getting to know you, we can figure out which type of counseling is going to be most beneficial to you.

Seeking therapy is not an easy decision to make and I understand what it takes to make such a decision, but wanting to make a better and successful life for yourself and your loved ones takes strength. I commend you for wanting to create a better life for yourself. I would love to support you and be part of your journey towards the goal of a more fulfilling life.
