About

Philosophy and Approach: I offer individuals, couples and groups the opportunity to gain insight into behaviors, find healthier ways to meet needs and goals, heal difficult communications and overwhelming emotions and resolve painful traumas. I have worked extensively in the field of addiction treatment, eating disorders, dual diagnosis and PTSD. Combining my interactive style with a range of modalities, I meet clients where they are and provide interventions and coaching that draws upon family systems, cognitive-behavioral therapy, Seeking Safety, narrative therapy, EMDR, DBT, sand tray, art therapy and mindfulness practices. Sessions will be conducted via telecare/online/Zoom.

Formal Education and Training: I hold a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Francisco, graduating in 2009. Major course work included human lifespan development, cultural competency, addiction studies, trauma-informed interventions, complex trauma and attachment disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, thought disorders, group dynamics and family systems. I have been trained to use Sand Tray and Art therapy interventions, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt, mindfulness practices, EMDR, DBT and Seeking Safety interventions. I am currently pursuing certification in EMDR.

As a Licensee of the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, I abide by its Code of Ethics. To maintain my license, I am required to participate in continuing education and taking classes in topics relevant to this profession.
