Francesca is a deeply skilled clinician with over 11 years of experience in supporting diverse populations. Utilizing her knowledge of education, psychology, social work, expressive therapies, sociology, organizational development, and leadership she helps her clients improve and repair their relationships. Francesca provides evidence-based, trauma-informed, neurodiversity-sensitive counseling and direct therapeutic services to all ages of individuals, families, and couples. She has counseled and developed programs for at-risk children and their families providing behavioral interventions and using modalities such as positive parenting, and has provided supportive counseling and case management services to clients ages 60+. Francesca has a passion for and deep experience in working with and developing programs for individuals on the Autism Spectrum and working with families of children with special needs. She prides herself on understanding the needs of her clients and developing strength-based treatment plans. She often utilizes the S.E.L.F. model, which stands for the categories of problem-solving that make up the Sanctuary framework: Safety, Emotions, Loss and Future. These categories represent four dynamic areas of focus for trauma recovery. Excelling in providing leadership, guidance, support, crisis intervention, and restorative practices in post-crisis situations, Francesca has also volunteered with the Mt. Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Program as a Rape Crisis Advocate. As a Clinical Supervisor she helped develop and manage clinicians and second-year students from different master’s level programs. Among the modalities she utilizes: TF-CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, Sand-tray therapy, Gottman, Positive Psychology, drama therapy, art therapy, play therapy, animal therapy and drama therapy groups.
