I graduated from Liberty University's School of Behavioral Sciences. I hold a license as a MA Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. My Bachelor’s degree was obtained from Liberty University in Religion along with minors in Christian Counseling and Psychology. In addition, I received a MA in Divinity with a focus on Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University School of Divinity. My work experience, for the past three years, includes working as a clinical therapist in private practicing agencies and currently as a clinical therapist with Macomb County Community Mental Health (CMH). In both, I have assisted children, adolescents, and adults who seek counseling due to personal situations and/or mental health disorders.
Your counseling service will consist of a relationship based on trust and respect. We will work together to identify goals for counseling and move toward meeting those goals using Cognitive Behavioral, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy among other theories. The counseling session will include exploring your thoughts, feelings, personal history, communication styles, attitudes, and beliefs about self and others. At times, counseling may be uncomfortable and/or stir emotions resulting in an emotional response. Allow the response to manifest as it is a powerful part of healing. I am the proud parent of two young adults. I enjoy laughing, peace, cooking with my kids, shopping, traveling, and occupying my time with mindless activities to refresh my brain. I am an advocate of self-care.
