Welcome! Deciding to make adjustments in your life is not always an easy decision to make. But, already being here at Find A Therapist means you are motivated for change at this time. Finding the right counselor is paramount to working collaboratively on therapeutic goals. Here's a little bit about me to help you make your decision.

My name is Fidencia and I am from Memphis, TN I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Counselor for over 6 years. I graduated with my Master's degree from Arkansas State University in 2015. I am a bilingual licensed clinical counselor. I have worked in a variety of settings such as behavioral health hospitals, community centers and private practice. I have an extensive background in trauma specifically sexual assault and domestic violence. I have worked with perpetrators of domestic violence as well and for years ran groups on non-violent communication. I have worked with individuals with personality disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety and self-injury behaviors.
I believe meeting my clients where they are at and to provide a safe space for my clients to be themselves and to never feel judged with me. I like to encourage my clients to challenge themselves in becoming a better version of themselves and growing into self-fulfilled individuals. I have experience working at a community counseling clinic, a residential treatment facility and via telehealth settings.

My treatment approach is to assist you in identifying areas of your life that you would like to implement changes. Cultivating a safe environment that is comfortable for you to explore these changes is of utmost importance. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and strengths-based therapy. I will typically respond to messages as soon as I can, but will check them at least three times per day Thursday-Sunday. I appreciate your patience on days when this takes longer, as I may be tending to other professional or personal responsibilities.

Outside of my work in counseling, I enjoy gardening, running, reading and baking. I look forward to meeting you and assisting you in implementing positive changes in your life to achieve your goals.
