About

My name is Fedra Tehrani and as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have had practice and training since 2012 in a variety of clinical settings, including in-patient care facilities, community mental health centers, and substance abuse treatment programs. While I have worked with a wide range of client concerns (depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD), my area of interest is working with those who struggle with PTSD. I have had extensive experience working with individuals and their families with past intergenerational trauma, abuse, neglect, and domestic violence. My clients have come in feeling lost because they continue to make the same mistakes or struggle with feeling guilty, alone, and possibly misunderstood. In my practice, I will help to guide you to overcome such challenges and build healthier coping skills. My hope is that within the therapeutic process you will regain confidence, overcome personal obstacles, and evidently become who you have envisioned to be. I am passionate about working with families of diverse ethnic/cultural backgrounds with acculturation issues and helping them advocate for themselves for equal opportunities and meet their own needs. My practice includes the application of a multitude of evidence-based therapies and skill-building techniques. I realize it may have taken some time to get here, so I would like to share with you some information about myself to see if we would be a good fit to work together. My work in the past has been with Individual to group forms of therapy within acute and sub-acute settings of hospitals and outpatient clinics. Given my 12 years of experience and knowledge from such clinical settings, I am very aware of my client’s needs when they arrive to therapy. I have enjoyed working with adolescents, young adults as well as adults who have had overlapping trauma experiences. During your initial therapy, I allow for the space for you to explore and evaluate what you would like from therapy
