Hello, my name is Dr. Evelyn DeLaCruz-Jiron, I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Licensed Addictions Counselor. I hold a Doctoral Degree of Education, with a strong emphasis on organizational psychology and systems family therapy. I am licensed to practice in Arizona, Alaska and Colorado and have worked in a variety of clinical settings including crisis intervention, trauma hospitals, intensive outpatient, private practice and tele-behavioral health. While spending the majority of my career as an educator, I also enjoy my duties as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, trainer and guest speaker in the higher education setting.

My clinical specialties include psychotherapy for individuals and couples and I'm certified in Experiential, CBT, ACT and DBT interventions. Our initial time together will be geared toward assessing your needs and identifying your goals for treatment. I generally ask some questions to gather more collateral and together, we can determine next steps. Sound good?

Throughout our time together, I encourage you to be honest and open about your needs, your goals and of course, your progress! I have a whole bunch of “tools” to manage and regulate emotions, process frustrations, ground your mind and cope with difficult situations that we can “add to your tool belt”. If a “tool” isn’t working well, please feel free to share so we can discuss and try a new “tool” as there is more than one way to get things done!
