About
I believe that everyone has the skills to be successful, and I help my clients identify those skills on their own through our therapeutic work together. I meet my clients where they are, and I show them how to take control of their own narrative. I am passionate about helping adolescents and teens that struggle to find connection with the people around them. I also help parents mend bridges with their children, and find more effective ways to connect. I specialize in teaching assertive communication, distress tolerance, coping skills, self-soothing techniques and boundary exploration. My clients become strong communicators, as they learn to advocate for their wants and needs in a way that honors the world around them. I create fun and engaging interventions for my clients by getting to know their interests and combining them with therapeutic strategies to create a sense of commonality & trust. I am a strong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, and consistently use my position to educate. The care I provide is gender affirming, and my clients will never be met with judgment. The evidence-based approaches of DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) are what I use with clients most often. I also use a PBS (positive behavior support) model when working with parents and their children. If I am working with a child, their parents can expect consistent and clear communication from me. I am always available for questions about your child’s care. When not in session, I spend most of my time with my chocolate lab, Dooley. However, my cat, Duke, makes sure my attention is distributed evenly. I am a huge music lover, and I love spending time in the sunshine with friends and family.
