I am from Stockholm Sweden. I left Sweden, when I was 17 years old, and came to USA. I got my undergraduate in Pasadena California and my master's in Social Work at USC, Los Angeles California and got my License as a Clinical Social Worker. I have now worked in the counseling field for thirty plus years (and been a client myself for many years) and I am one of the lucky ones since I truly love my work. I have worked in hospitals as a medical social worker, on inpatient psychiatric units, in outpatient programs and been in private practice for twenty plus years. I have learned a lot from my own life, and I am continually learning from all my clients. My approach is to first build a trusting relationship with my clients, work toward them feeling safe with me so they can feel heard, not judged, validated and supported. I will follow your needs and work with you to reach your goals. I will guide, educate and provide you with skills that you can find helpful to navigate through challenging times. I have worked with people of all ages and backgrounds, and have extensive experience treating PTSD, depression, anxiety and borderline personality disorder.
