About

My name is Esther Loera and I am a LCSW in California. I obtained my MSW at CSUMB with an emphasis in children, youth and families. I have been practicing mental health for almost 10 years in Monterey County. My experience is working with older teens and adults for a variety of reason from anxiety, depression, co-parenting, family conflict, relationship concerns, severe mental health concerns, trauma, abuse and addictions.
My therapy style is warm, non- judgmental and direct. Although, I identify as a Christian my practice with others has and will always be respectful of other’s people’s background, spiritual beliefs and perspective. I encourage you to share your thoughts and feelings about your experiences without fear or judgement. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy including, behavioral, holistic, CBT, brief solution focused therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing.
It is important to acknowledge that struggles can get real, real fast. Having a neutral person to talk to outside of your immediate circle can be helpful and provide you with that extra layer of privacy and creating a safe space to process concerns. Healing is possible and I would be grateful to support you in creating a fulfilling and meaningful life.
