I was drawn to counseling through my love for helping others and a deep desire to understand emotional processes and healing. I have always worked in a helping capacity within my community and continue to work within the community. I have worked as a school teacher, parole officer, children's protective services investigator, state benefits eligibility worker, and brain injury therapy aid. I feel that helping is my calling and my life experiences allow me to help others. In therapy, I want you to know that no subject's too small for discussion. I want you to feel understood, empowered, seen and supported. My approach to therapy is to listen to your needs and assist with developing a treatment plan tailored to those needs by employing an eclectic style of counseling that incorporates several modalities. The therapy pace is set by you which allows for processing and insight into your personal journey.
