A therapist is someone who joins you in the darkness with a light to help you find your own way out. Reaching out for help, is not a sign of weakness, but a brave act of self-love. I believe you are the expert on your own life and counseling can be utilized as a tool to gain clarity, heal childhood wounds and offer new perspectives. What is your approach to therapy? My therapeutic approach is trauma informed and person-centered while utilizing unconditional positive regard. My focus is Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD’s) to help support mothers, fathers and families of all kinds with all aspects of the unique, life transition called parenthood. As caregivers, it is easy to put personal needs on the back burner and to get lost in our parental role. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you? However, to continue or even begin your own healing journey is the greatest gift a parent can give to his or her children. Together, we can gently identify, address and heal past trauma wounds that may keep you stuck, in constant overwhelm and feeling stagnant.
