Hello!

My name is Erin Gerold, and I have seven years of clinical experience. I have a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Dakota State University, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Minnesota. I have spent most of my professional career working in long term residential treatment programs and inpatient psychiatric facilities, and I have also done in-home skills work. I’ve always found it to be a great honor to hold space for clients in their greatest times of need. There are few things better in this world than watching people succeed and develop a greater love for themselves.

I understand that treatment is not a “one size fits all.” While I predominantly operate from a person-centered and strengths-based lens, I have also utilized Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Early in our work together, we can have a conversation about how you learn best, and we will find appropriate ways to work together so that you get the most out of this experience as possible.

I believe in the idea of power with clients rather than power over clients. In this, I believe that you are the expert of your own story, not me, and I get to be along for the journey in whichever ways will be helpful to your growth. My goal is to be with you, side by side, through that journey.

I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, family conflicts, & intimacy related issues. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our conversations and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage.
