Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here and taking that first step, moving towards positive growth. Know that mental health conditions are real, common, and treatable. My name is Erika Rios, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Texas. For the last eighteen years, my professional experience has been centered around working with individuals experiencing mental health, substance abuse, and/or life challenges. I’ve been licensed as an LPC for the last seven years. During that time, I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of people, some experiencing mental health challenges, relationship issues, trauma, addictions, parenting issues, life changes, grief, and many others. My counseling style is focused on evidence-based practices that support and empower you to realize your personal goals. My approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. But most importantly I am client centered so my methods are tailored to your concerns, needs, and personal goals. Respect and compassion are at the foundation of every interaction.
