My name is Erika Jacobson, MSW, LICSW, LADC, and I have been a practicing mental health for a little over six years. I started my career working with teenagers, their families, and adults doing mental health and substance use counseling. I am a licensed mental health practitioner and have a separate licensure in substance use. I also have experience working with clients with severe and persistent mental illnesses. I have extensive background in grief/loss support with a speciality in pet loss support. I utilize different therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, interpersonal process therapy, and solution-based therapy. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. I prefer to work collaboratively with my clients in tackling issues. I also have a certificate in gerontology and am working towards a masters in this area.
