About
To work on yourself is the best thing you can do. Accept that you are not perfect, but that you are enough and then start working on everything that destroys you. Your insecurities, your ego, your dark thoughts. You will see in the end you're going to make peace with yourself and that, in itself, will be their greatest thing in the world (unknown author)." Hi, I'm Erica. Seeking therapy is not just for those who have attended in the past, mental health treatment is for each and every person regardless of how or what they are feeling. Maybe you have not been feeling very sociable or your current relationship does not seem as healthy as it once did. Trauma that you suffered years prior is now beginning to affect how you sleep, eat, and perform your daily job duties and even has affected your overall mood. I work with Domestic Violence Survivors along with the aggressors in order for each to know and become aware of the cycle of abuse. This is not to "make" a survivor leave but to merely educate and lend support, guidance and empathy. I further work with Trauma clients, PTSD as well as Forensic/clients engaged with or who have ever been involved with the criminal justice system. You have made the difficult first decision of coming to therapy, my role is to make sure that the therapeutic environment is a safe and welcoming space where you will feel comfortable. I will never tell you that "I understand where you have been or what you have gone through." I will however be able to show empathy as well as tell you that I am passionate about my role as a therapist. I use Eclectic approaches along with modalities that are appropriate for the client. I look forward to working with you!
