Welcome to my profile. I'm glad you are here, it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help. My name is Erica Decker and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California with 7 years of experience providing therapy. I have a judgement-free approach, aimed at understanding your strengths, and how you can use them to conquer your problems. I strive to empower and guide you to understand the best choices for yourself. I will ask questions to help you understand what decisions are best. I will also keep you accountable to the goals that you make for yourself.

I have my B.A. in Psychology from Cal Poly Pomona, Master of Social Work degree from USC, and PPS credential from the University of Redlands. I have my License in Clinical Social Work that enables me to provide therapy in the state of California, and I have a credential for school counseling. I have a background working for a crisis team (over 3 years) in which I provided grounding techniques, crisis stabilization, brief solution-focused therapy, offered psycho-education, developed safety plans, and provided coping skills. I worked as a case manager in (Therapeutic Behavioral Services) which consisted of me assessing and developing a treatment strategy for individuals with anger management difficulties, self-harming, and helping parents with children that have behavioral problems. I am currently employed as a therapist with a school district. I have an eclectic experience working with adults, older adults, children, families, and diverse cultural groups.

I have a background working in a crisis team to help de-escalate people undergoing mental health crises. I also have experience working with people who struggle with completing day-to-day activities due to their mental health. I have many years working with individuals that have difficulties with Depression, Anxiety and PTSD, Trauma,
Toxic relationships/ workplaces, Anger outbursts, Grief and loss, and Parenting.
