My name is EB (Erica) Baumer (they/them), and I have a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from UW-Madison. I view my clients as unique individuals who come from a variety of backgrounds. I help them identify their strengths and build on them. In my practice, bolstering a client's motivation for change is important. I provide accountability and support during the tough times--knowing that we all have challenges and choices in our lives. I am very well suited to working with LGBTQ+ persons and those with all levels of ability. I treat many concerns. However, I specialize in anxiety trauma (PTSD) and OCD. I also work with those who struggle with Personality Disorders.

For me, the most effective way to be a psychotherapist and career counselor is to first build a strong, genuine and respectful relationship with the client. While technique and tools are also important, trust between client and counselor are paramount. I will be completely transparent and will answer all client questions. Clients will always understand what is going on in session and why. Clients are the experts in their own lives. I am here to provide a space for growth and change--not to force them to change.
