Hello, and thanks for looking! Here's a little info about myself, and my work as a clinical social worker/therapist. I am honored to have had successful therapeutic relationships with people who find it difficult to trust. As a hospice social worker for the past 7 years, I have supported many individuals and families throughout their experiences with death, dying, and grieving. Job stressors, relationship questions, clarification of life direction/sense of purpose, past traumas still affecting us - there are all kinds of reasons why we might need a hand working through life's problems.  I believe that self-care is often a crucially missing element when people experience suffering. I personally am grounded in rich and challenging life experiences, and hold a nonjudgmental attitude. Clinical orientations tend towards strengths-based, solution-focused, narrative, mindfulness, and eclectic, with a trauma-sensitive approach. Past clients have told me they feel I have a deep understanding of where they are emotionally, that I am a good listener, and easy to talk with. Ultimately the most important predictor of a counselor’s effectiveness is the quality of the relationship between the counselor and the client. I hope I can be a great support to you!
