About

How we view ourselves greatly impacts how we feel and interact with the world around us. The most challenging part about this fact is that we often are not fully aware of how we view ourselves or how this impacts us or what to do with the information after we learn this. I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for people to increase self-awareness and build the skills to use this awareness to their advantage.

I primarily use a cognitive behavioral therapeutic approach, however, I believe person-centered principles are critical and I will pull from other approaches as needed (acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness therapy). I specialize in anxiety, depression and obsessive-compulsive related disorders. I have observed that anxiety and depression are incredibly common concerns that often accompany transitions, stressors or may come out of the blue. I aim to assist people in shifting their relationship with stress, anxiety, depression and other unpleasant emotions in order to build a smoother path forward.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience and a Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling. I have been working as a therapist for the past four years providing services to children as young as four years old through all ages of adulthood. I enjoy counseling individuals of all cultures including people of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
